Dave Winer was born in town of Brooklyn, New York on May 2 1955. Winer is graduated in 1978 with the degree MS, Computer Science at University of Wisconsin, a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Tulane University and currently lives in Berkeley, California. He is a software developer, entrepreneur, and pioneered in several areas in Internet standards like XML-RPC co-author with Microsoft, RSS 0.91 co-author with Netscape, OPML 1.0 sole author, SOAP 1.1 co-author with Microsoft and IBM, and sole author in RSS 0.92 and RSS 2.0 base on RSS 0.91 with Netscape

1981-1988, Winer lunched the first outliners such as ThinkTank, Ready and More.

1994, Winer started DaveNet, a personally column, first of its kind and it’s a popular commentary channel.Read by the leading thinkers in software, networking and tech finance. It was distributed via email and thru out worldwide web.

1996 of February, Dave Winer writes a weblog that chronicles the 24 Hours of Democracy Project. In April, Winer launches a news page for users of Frontier Software,

1997, The Frontier Software that Winer lunched, it became Scripting News, one of the oldest and longest weblogs remaining on the net today.

1999, the company he heads, My.Userland .com goes on to release Radio Userland, one of the first blogging software tools.
